Without it

  • ×The dispatcher calls drivers on a personal phone to allot duties, and forgets which driver is where the moment the third call goes out
  • ×Drivers call the office to say 'I'm at the pickup' because there is no app that tells the guest and the dispatcher at the same time
  • ×Driver attendance is kept in a register, leave requests come on WhatsApp, and every month-end HR spends days pulling it all into a salary sheet
  • ×Monthly contract customers want a clean per-car report at month-end, and your accounts team spends four days putting it together
  • ×Driver salary slips are generated manually in Excel — mistakes are common, and the 'where is my payslip' question from drivers never goes away

With Travel Softdrive

  • Intelligent dispatch assigns duties based on proximity, rating, and availability — the dispatcher oversees, not firefights
  • Native driver app with OTP-verified start, odometer capture, adaptive GPS — and offline reliability so duty data is never lost on poor-coverage routes
  • Built-in payroll for drivers and staff — attendance, leaves, comp-off, fixed salary components (basic, HRA, allowances), and monthly salary slips generated in one click
  • Monthly contract module handles 22, 24, 26, and 30-day cycles with KM carry-forward and bulk closure — month-end is an afternoon
  • No separate HR or payroll software needed — the same platform that runs your operations runs your team's salaries too

What's inside

Native driver app

Full duty lifecycle on Android — accept, reject, start with OTP, click odometer photos, track live, complete. Works reliably in poor-coverage areas: every action is captured regardless of connectivity and appears on your dashboard once the driver is back online. Drivers stop calling the office.

Dispatch console

Real-time map of all drivers, active duties, and unallocated bookings. Assign, reassign, and broadcast availability pings with one click. Pending-edit workflow for last-minute changes from customers without losing the original booking state.

GPS tracking & variance

Live vehicle positions every 10-30 seconds, adaptive intervals to save battery, route playback, and a GPS variance report that flags any duty where the claimed KMs do not match the path driven.

Monthly contracts

22/24/26/30-day fixed assignments with auto-duty generation, KM carry-forward, holiday rates, bulk closure, and usage summaries. The staple format of Indian taxi operations, handled end-to-end.

Driver attendance & payroll

Daily attendance marking, leave tracking, comp-off for weekend/holiday duties, and fixed salary structures (basic, HRA, allowances). Monthly payroll runs generate salary slip PDFs for every driver. Drivers see their own attendance and payslips in the app.

Driver onboarding & lifecycle

Driver connection requests, onboarding with government-verified DL, active/paused state, and correct attribution when the same driver works across multiple operators — each operator sees only their own duties and attendance.

GST-compliant billing

Auto pre-invoice on duty closure, live e-invoice IRN generation, place-of-supply handling, RCM for unregistered drivers, and credit/debit notes. Your CA reconciles without workarounds.

Operator analytics

Daily active drivers, revenue per car, contract profitability, dispute rate, and driver retention in one dashboard. The numbers your operations review actually needs.

In the real world

A 120-car Jaipur radio taxi operator

Rajesh runs a 120-car radio taxi fleet in Jaipur with 180 drivers. Before the platform, his dispatcher Naresh spent the first three hours of every shift on the phone; attendance registers took up Sunday mornings; and every month-end was a five-day reconciliation — salary slips in Excel, contract customer invoices pulled together by hand. After Travel Softdrive: the dispatch console shows all 120 cars on a live map. When an airport pickup drops in at 6:15 AM, the system suggests three drivers within 2 KM; Naresh one-clicks to allot; the driver accepts on his phone and the guest gets an SMS with the driver's name and photo. At 9 AM, driver Suresh starts his second duty — OTP from the guest, odometer photo, GPS kicks in. The duty closes at 10:40 AM with a pre-invoice auto-generated and GST applied. A monthly-contract customer's 26-day cycle closes on the 28th with one click; their consolidated invoice with e-invoice IRN goes out the same evening. At month-end, attendance has already been captured from duty activity and leave applications — salary slips for all 180 drivers generate in one click with HRA, allowances, and deductions applied from each driver's salary structure. Sunday mornings are free again.

Frequently asked questions

How does the driver app handle areas with poor network?+

The driver app works reliably even in areas with poor or no network coverage. All duty data — starts, GPS, odometer photos, status updates — is captured regardless of connectivity and appears on your dashboard once the driver is back online. No data is ever lost.

Our drivers work for two operators sometimes. Does the app force them to pick?+

No. Drivers can be connected to multiple operators. Each operator sees only their own duties and attendance. When a driver is on your duty, the other operator automatically sees them as unavailable.

Do you handle driver salaries and attendance inside the platform?+

Yes. Travel Softdrive includes built-in payroll for your drivers and staff — daily attendance marking, leave management, comp-off for weekend duties, fixed salary structures (basic, HRA, allowances), and monthly salary slip generation. Most car rental platforms stop at dispatch; we handle the full team lifecycle. Note: we manage fixed-component payroll, not per-duty commission automation — if your business depends on complex variable-pay calculations per booking, you will still need a separate tool for that piece.

We have a mix of owned vehicles and vehicles attached by partners. Does this handle both?+

Yes. Owned vehicles sit in the fleet registry with per-vehicle revenue, cost, and utilization. Attached vehicles from partner owners are tracked as a separate partnership with margin and payout visibility. One dispatch screen, two ownership models, one clear view.

Can we brand the driver app and the customer SMS with our company name?+

The driver app is a shared Travel Softdrive app — drivers install it once and use it across every operator they connect with. Customer-facing invoices and duty slips carry your brand, GSTIN, and contact details. SMS and email notifications are sent with your business name on record. The driver app itself is not white-labelled.
